Processed Huge Datasets in DARPA Award

KnowledgeVis, LLC was pleased to be selected to provide visualization research and development services as part of a team led by Kitware, Inc. on the DARPA XDATA project. XDATA pushed the limits of technology for storage, analysis, and visualization of gigantic datasets across multiple domains. For this project, KnowledgeVis developed state-of-the-art web-based data visualization interfaces for a number of big data problems, including entity resolution from social media streams. The Kitware team also included leading visualization researchers from Harvard University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Washington, and the University of Utah. Graduate students from the universities prototyped novel visualization strategies and fed prototypes to Kitware and KnowledgeVis for hardening and use providing insights exploring huge data applications.
